BAUPLE has hung out the welcome sign for grey nomads and tourists, after applying to become the Fraser Coast's first official RV-friendly town.

If approved, the tiny town would be listed on websites, magazines and brochures geared towards RV-lovers and campervan enthusiasts all over the country.

Yolande Bromet, Macadamia House owner and secretary of the Bauple Band Hall, said Bauple was an ideal base for RV owners to explore the Fraser Coast.

"We have a free camp, a doctor, shops and attractions," Ms Bromet said.

"If people need to tinker with anything in their RV, they can do it at the Men's Shed, and there is something on every night at the band hall, from yoga to Zumba and darts."

Ms Bromet said the RV-friendly rating would encourage tourists to detour from the highway to explore the region's small towns.

The application was submitted by the Fraser Coast Regional Council, in accordance with the Bauple Vision and the Fraser Coast Council Community Development Plan.
