WITH the marriage of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the rocks, French actress Marion Cotillard has responded to reports that she and the American actor had an affair.

Cotillard, expecting her second child with French actor and director Guillaume Cane, said in a statement that Cane was "

my love, my best friend, the only one that I need”.

She added: "To those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery.
