Aussies 382 runs ahead as Marsh fails
AUSTRALIA suffered a top-order collapse but remain in a strong position at 3-50 at stumps on day three of a fiery fourth Test against India at Adelaide Oval.
The home side holds an overall lead of 382 runs with seven second-innings wickets in hand.
Michael Clarke is nine not out and Ricky Ponting is on one.
Eleven wickets fell on Thursday on what was supposed to be a feast for batsmen on a flat pitch before an appreciative Australia Day holiday crowd of 35,081.
Spinner Ravi Ashwin opened the bowling for India and struck in the 10th over of Australia's second innings, accepting a return catch to dismiss David Warner for 28 to make it 1-39.
