A JUMPING castle, face painting and market stalls are just a few attractions sure to entertain the whole family at the upcoming Joshua Care Festival family fun day.
Held at the City Church Logan, the festival is designed to provide a fun day out for families while also raising much needed funds for underprivileged communities in the Philippines.
Event coordinator Eden Del Valle said the festival was a great day for the local community to reach out and help others while spending quality time with the family.
"All the money raised is going to Joshua Care International, which is a ministry that reaches out to underprivileged children and their families with loving care and concern," Mrs Del Valle said.
"Our focus is on meeting their immediate needs with food, clothing, and medical help as well as providing quality education and developing sound life skills.
"We believe by reaching out to our community we are also helping our local community reach out to the world.
"My husband Arturo comes from the Philippines and since my very first visit to his home land, compassion and love for the people of this country has continued to grow within me and never left my heart and mind."
Joshua Care International operates six initiative streams which include educational sponsorship, medical and health, food and nutrition, calamity assistance, 24-hour house care and livelihood training.
At the festival, there will also be food stalls, a pre-loved clothing market and giveaways.
The Joshua Care Festival will be held at the City Church Logan on the corner of Queens Rd and Kingston Rd at Slacks Creek on Sunday, July 8 from 3pm until 7pm.
