ANOTHER Logan resident has come forward saying she was left high and dry by the city’s bus service.

But Translink is defending the incident, saying bad weather was the cause of several Clarks Logan City bus services being diverted last week.

Sixty-one-year-old Marsden pensioner, Patricia Tennila (pictured), is the latest resident to call The Reporter, saying she had been left waiting for a bus which never arrived.

Last Tuesday night, Mrs Tennila caught a bus from her home to Marsden Park shopping centre, but when she tried to catch the 550 bus back home it never came.

After two scheduled buses didn’t turn up, and after waiting for more than an hour, Mrs Tennila eventually got a free ride home from a kind taxi driver.

“I was a wreck when I got home,” she said about the ordeal.

A TransLink spokesman apologised for any inconvenience caused to passengers, but he said in the interest of safety buses had to avoid floodwaters.

He said a diversion notice was posted on their website and in case of future extreme weather, customers could call 13 12 30 for up-to-date information on services.
