Magpies ready for tough semi-final

MATT Ward scored a hat-trick as Souths Logan warmed up for their mouth watering semi-final clash with newly crowned club champions Norths with a solid rugby league victory over Redcliffe on Sunday.
The Dolphins did everything to try and hinder the Magpies' post season preparations, but the black and white juggernaut showed why they were crowned minor premiers, racing away to register its fifth straight win of the 2010 Intrust Super Cup.
The Magpies take on second-placed Norths at Davies Park this Sunday with the winner to play the lowest ranked victor from the other two semi-final clashes.
Meanwhile the Magpies' Colts side scrapped into the finals with a 38-26 victory over Redcliffe.
