The Reserve Bank of Australia has left the cash rate unchanged at 4.5 per cent.
HOMEOWNERS can rest easy for another month after the Reserve Bank left its key interest rate unchanged after Tuesday's board meeting.
The decision to leave the official cash rate at 4.5 per cent for a fourth straight month was widely anticipated by financial markets.
Reserve Bank governor Glenn Stevens said current lending rates are around their average levels of the past decade.
"With growth in the near term likely to be close to trend, inflation close to target and with the global outlook remaining somewhat uncertain, the board judged this setting of monetary policy to be appropriate for the time being," Mr Stevens said in a statement.
