SPLENDOUR in the Grass organisers are giving fans the chance to win tickets ahead of their official release this Thursday.

A limited number of tickets are being given away through a Twitter treasure hunt, which starts today in Melbourne and continues tomorrow in Brisbane and Wednesday in Sydney.

Using the @SITG account, organisers will be tweeting clues about the physical locations of double camping passes, worth $1050.

At 8.30am this morning organisers tweeted: “Good morning Melbourne! A double Event Camping pass is about to be hidden in your city. More info coming soon...#splendourinthegrass”.

Held over three days at Woodfordia on the Sunshine Coast, the popular indie and rock music festival is headlined this year by UK rockers Coldplay and American rapper Kanye West.

Tickets for last year’s festival, the first to be held at Woodford rather than the event’s long-time home at Byron Bay, sold out in just three hours.

Tickets for the 2011 festival go on sale this Thursday at 9am through Moshtix.
