GOOD TIMES: Senior Constable Matt Massouras and his young friends are looking forward to the PCYC open days across Logan.
ARE you looking for a new hobby or sport to participate in during your spare time?
If so, come along and check out the open days at the Logan City, Tudor Park and Beenleigh PCYCs, where there will be fun demonstrations on all the sports and classes they have to offer.
Senior Constable Matt Massouras said local PCYCs are a great place to have fun and make new friends while being active.
"Our classes at Logan PCYC range from assorted martial arts including karate, judo, wrestling, as well as boxing, Polynesian dancing, cheerleading, gymnastics, tiny tots, Murri classes and gym circuit classes," he said.
"But we are also introducing taekwondo classes for juniors and seniors each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon that will commence on February 14 as well as singing classes.
"All of the activities we have here are generally at a lower cost and much more affordable for families, and they know that their money goes towards a not-for-profit organisation which means all the profits go to run youth programs for disadvantaged and troubled youth in our immediate community."
Mr Massouras said the open days would have something to cater for everyone.
"There will be free rides for the kids, animal farm, cake stalls, a barbeque and much more," he said.
"In addition, we will also have police, fire brigade and assorted information stands."
Residents will also have the opportunity to win free gym memberships and free PCYC memberships will be given away to juniors on the day.
Logan City PCYC and Beenleigh PCYC will have their open day on Saturday, February 25 between 10am and 2pm.
Tudor Park PCYC will have their open day on Sunday, February 26 from 9am to 1pm.
