COUNTRY music fans will be bursting with excitement as they prepare for the 2012 Gympie Muster, but Dalby's country music fans will have more to celebrate than most.

For the first time in a while, they will be able to see former Dalby man Mark O'Shea and his wife Jay in person rather than on the television screen.

The country music-singing husband and wife duo have been working out of the world's country music capital, Nashville, Tennessee, for six years.

They finally decided to get married after working with each other for years and fans will be thrilled with their growth as both a band and a couple.

"I guess we were always scared there would be two chiefs and no Indians," Mark laughed.

"But after spending a few years playing a regular gig together in Nashville, we realised how much fun we actually have on stage," Jay added.

They made their return to Australia to pick up the Telstra New Talent Award at the Tamworth Country Music Awards in January before being announced in the Gympie Muster line-up.

The country music duo will be performing hits from their album Mr and Mrs, which debuted in the top 10 on the ARIA country music chart and gave them three number one singles.

Also performing at this year's muster are country greats Kenny Rogers, John Williamson, Lee Kernaghan and Shannon Noll.

The 2012 Gympie Muster will be held from August 23-26.
