THE family of a man who was found murdered at Logan Reserve two weeks ago have made an emotional plea to the public to help find his killer after police revealed they are searching for a mystery car.

The body of 38-year-old Julian Neuendorf was located in the Logan River near the Logan Reserve boat ramp at Henderson Park on Friday, November 2 about 9.15am.

Regional Crime Coordinator, Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson told a media conference that police were searching for a car which witnesses reportedly heard at the boat ramp briefly about 8.40pm on Thursday, November 1.

"Our investigations have found a vehicle attended the boat ramp around 8.40pm on Thursday, November 1," Supt Hutchinson said.

"Significantly, it only stayed for a short period of time.

"We do not consider this person to be a suspect.

"We are interested in talking to those people in that vehicle basically so we can establish whether they saw anything so we can eliminate them.

"We are also interested in speaking with anyone who visited the boat ramp around 8.40pm on the Thursday and anyone who travelled along Henderson Rd from 7pm on Thursday, November 1 to 9am on Friday, November 2."

Describing Mr Neuendorf as a devoted father to his two children, his sisters Anna and Emily bravely fronted the media to plea for any additional information which could help assist police in finding their brother's killer.

Anna fought back tears as she spoke of her love for her brother.

"Our brother Julian was a loving, loyal, caring and considerate family man," Anna said.

"He was a loving partner and a dad to two beautiful children.

"He was loved very much.

"My brother Julian and my family did not deserve this.

"If you saw or heard anything on that night, we urge you to come forward.

"Please help us find who is responsible."

If you have any information which could assist police with their enquiries, phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
